Image Construction scheduled to begin on new home for Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine March 16, 2022 The University of Arizona and UArizona Health Sciences announced Wednesday the completion of a $23 million fundraising effort to build a new home for the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, part of the College of Medicine – Tucson. The 30,000-square-foot facility will be located on the UArizona Health Sciences campus at 1231 N. Cherry Ave. Construction is expected to begin mid-May and be completed in fall 2023. Read more
Image UArizona Wyant College of Optical Sciences raises $28M for endowed chairs Jan. 28, 2022 The University of Arizona James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences has completed one of the most ambitious fundraising endowed chair campaigns for a single college in the university's history. Thomas L. Koch, dean of the Wyant College, announced that the college has received $28 million in donations and commitments to establish 14 new endowed chairs. "Andy" Ware made an estate gift commitment establishing the John A. and Frances P. Ware Endowment prior to his death in March. Image Retired UArizona Professor Establishes Endowed Professorship at Steele Children's Research Center Oct. 8, 2021 Professor Emeritus Rabi Bhattacharya has committed $1 million to the Steele Children's Research Center. The gift will be used to create the Gouri Bhattacharya Endowed Professor of Pediatric Cancer, named in honor of Bhattacharya's late wife, Gouri, who gave to a children's cancer research charity before being diagnosed with lung cancer in late 2017.
