The Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement (PAE) has spent the last several years strategically laying the groundwork to double fundraising in our next fundraising campaign. These efforts included our recent conversion from Raiser’s Edge to Lynx. The Financial Transformation & Modernization project is another significant step in updating our legacy technology in support of this goal.
Unlike the Lynx project, which focused on our constituent relations technology and processes, FT&M is focused on our financial services technology and processes. It aims to update our current systems, Financial Edge (FE) and the campus financial reporting currently available at uafdn.org. Among our goals are transformation of reporting, improving efficiency in data imports, modernizing through paperless processing, providing cloud-based online access and employing a modern interface.
PAE Mission
Advancing the University of Arizona by building relationships, securing philanthropic support and stewarding assets.
PAE Vision
To be acknowledged by alumni, donors, friends, the University community and peer institutions for service excellence, achievement, and integrity in all we do.
The FT&M project is an enterprise project that includes not only upgrading PAE’s current Financial Edge 7 application to the cloud-based Financial Edge NXT platform, but also integrating FE NXT with the PAE’s CRM platform (Lynx), other software applications (AQURIT, Fundriver and PaperSave), leveraging the Blackbaud CRM data warehouse, replacing UAFDN.org reporting functionality, and developing a viable solution for campus partners to review consolidated project and account
- Create efficiencies by automating manual financial processes.
- Financial systems talk to Lynx appropriately and efficiently.
- Integrate FE NEXT with existing and new third-party systems like the data warehouse and PaperSave.
- Improve financial reporting.
Updates
Congratulations to the Financial Transformation & Modernization project team!
The Financial Transformation & Modernization (FTM) team is excited to share the accomplishment of their first project milestone — a successful conversion to FE NXT! And, after a brief data pause and outage, uafdn.org is now live! We are grateful for everyone's patience through this update to the financial services backend system. It is a significant step in updating our legacy technology that lays the groundwork to build reporting improvements on uafdn.org over the next year.
Please note the following change in naming convention: Endowment Expendable project names have been updated with an abbreviation of (EXP) to distinguish them from Endowment Principal projects.
