Planned Giving Simplified: The Gift, the Giver, and the Gift Planner

by Robert F. Sharpe, Sr.

Reviewed by Nina Daldrup, Director of Development

Planned Giving Simplified is a terrific tool for the busy development officer. Sharpe has synthesized the key aspects of gift planning, placed the emotional considerations of the donor at the center of every action, and infused the text with ethics and inspiration. Don't worry, as I did, that the book may be out-of-date (1999). Sharpe's long career in the field allows his timeless wisdom to guide your interests. You will find yourself reflecting on new ways to think about, and talk with donors and prospects. Your intuitions will be validated, and you'll be energized by the potential for great work ahead.
