Building a Brighter Tomorrow
Through Scholarship
It was in the spirit of building a better future for Arizona that the UA was established in 1885. Now celebrating its 125th year of service, the University remains central to delivering a brighter tomorrow for the citizens of this great state.
Central to the UA’s land grant mission is to make the dream of a college education available to as many Arizona students as possible. Gifts to the 125 Legacy Fund support the Arizona Assurance access and success scholars program.
The Arizona Assurance scholarship program invests in Arizona’s future by providing scholarships to qualifying in-state high school seniors who are admitted to the University of Arizona.
Investing in the UA’s future helps current students succeed and preserves the value of a UA degree in the marketplace.

Charles Oma Rouse, Mercedes Shibell and Mary Walker were the first UA graduating class in 1895.
