Fund-Raising Priorities

The campus skyline continues to change with dozens of buildings and facilities made possible over the years either wholly or in part through private gifts. Beyond such capital projects, other key fund-raising priorities determined by the University include endowed faculty and student support. Currently, the UA has more than 80 endowed faculty positions and more than 1,100 endowed student scholarships.

The University continues to mirror a national trend that sees private support increasingly more pivotal to the institution’s fiscal health and ability to stay competitive. The percentage of state funding that contributes to the UA budget continues to decline. Increased focus on philanthropic dollars creates opportunities for both college- and unit-based campaigns and more comprehensive institutional campaigns.
